Cécile Tissot, PhD, University of California, Berkeley, CA, discusses the HEAD study, which aims to harmonize tau positron emission tomography (PET) tracers in Alzheimer’s disease (AD), particularly MK6240 and flortaucipir. The study has enrolled 500 participants and aims to gather baseline data by the end of 2024. Dr Tissot goes on to discuss the association between MK6240 and flortaucipir and their distinct binding properties and off-target signal regions. This interview took place at the Alzheimer’s Association International Conference® (AAIC) 2024 in Philadelphia, PA.
