Tabitha Broadbelt, PhD student, The University of Edinburgh, Edinburgh, UK, explains research into learning mechanisms in the amyloid precursor protein (APP) NL-G-F mouse model of Alzheimer’s disease, focusing on how prior experience can affect learning and memory in Alzheimer’s disease and how the pathology of Alzheimer’s disease can affect the functioning of learning mechanisms.
