Sarah Wilson, MSc, Newcastle University, Newcastle upon Tyne, UK, discusses a recent study in which patients with cognitive impairments and their caregivers were interviewed about their opinions and experiences using digital health-monitoring devices. Participants in the study used a FitBit Charge 4, a Dreem 3 sleep-monitoring headband, and two phone apps over the course of two weeks, before reporting on their experiences. The study found that access to digital technology and levels of digital literacy are key challenges that need to be overcome in the future. This interview took place at the Alzheimer’s Research UK Conference 2022 in Brighton, UK.
