The efficacy of non-drug-based treatment as a complementary addition to the care of dementia patients has gained considerable interest. Here, Séverine Samson, PhD from University of Lille Nord de France, Lille, France talks us through a study which aimed to examine the effects of musical and non-musical treatments. Dr Samson talks about the study’s methodology, and explains the outcomes measured. This interview was recorded at the 2017 Alzheimer’s Association International Conference (AAIC) held in London, UK.
