Vladimir Hachinski, MD, DSc, FAAN, Western University, Ontario, Canada, discusses the differences between a person having Alzheimer’s pathologies and having been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease. Vascular pathologies are a key part of many dementias, and Prof. Hachinski emphasizes the importance of diagnosing these pathologies as they are largely treatable and preventable. This interview took place at the American Academy of Neurology 2022 Congress in Seattle, WA.
