Public understanding of neurological disorders is greatly important, in both building resilience and awareness in society to better treat, support and care for those affected by these diseases. In this interview, Shanti Shanker, PhD, of Bournemouth University, Bournemouth, UK, discusses the Building Resilience and Awareness through Neuropsychology Education in the Society (BRANES) project. Dr Shanker highlights how this project is also reaching out to children in schools to increase understanding at a younger age.
