CONy 2024 | Current projects from Alzheimer’s Disease International

Paola Barbarino, MA, CEO, Alzheimer’s Disease International, outlines several activities and research projects currently underway within Alzheimer’s Disease International (ADI). In April, the biennial global conference will take place in Krakow, Poland, bringing together speakers from around the world to share updates in all areas of dementia, from policy to clinical care. In May, ADI will present the 7th From Plan to Impact report, which will provide an update on where each country is in relation to the targets of the World Health Organization (WHO) Global Action Plan on dementia and aim to understand why many countries are not making the necessary progress. World Alzheimer’s Month will take place in October and at this time, ADI will be reporting on the 2024 Attitudes Towards Dementia global survey, which Ms Barbarino encourages individuals to take part in. This interview took place at the 18th Annual Congress on Controversies in Neurology (CONy 2024) in London, UK.
