At the 31st International Conference of Alzheimer’s Disease International (ADI), held in Budapest, Hungary, from April 21–24 2016, Lynn Chenoweth, RN, DipRec/leis (KCAE), BA (KCAE), GradCertHEd (UTS), MA (Hons) (Syd), MAdED (UTS), PhD (Syd), from University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia, reviews the evidence of the psychosocial impact and clinical utility of the Pain Assessment in Advanced Dementia (PAIN-AD) tool for the individual assessment of pain in people with dementia.
