At the 31st International Conference of Alzheimer’s Disease International (ADI), held in Budapest, Hungary, from April 21–24 2016, Lynn Chenoweth, RN, DipRec/leis (KCAE), BA (KCAE), GradCertHEd (UTS), MA (Hons) (Syd), MAdED (UTS), PhD (Syd), from University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia, explains facilitated case conferencing, which proposes a team approach involving the person with dementia, their caregivers and the health professionals, as an approach for optimising decision making and delivery of care.
