Presenilin-1 (PSEN1) mutations cause familial Alzheimer’s disease characterized by early age of onset. Markus Glatzel, MD, University Medical Center Hamburg-Eppendorf, Hamburg, Germany, discusses a study investigating the pathophysiological drivers and clinical impact of age of onset variation in the Colombian PSEN1 E280A population.
