CONy 2022 | Future perspectives in Alzheimer’s research

Ruth Itzhaki, MSc, PhD, MA, University of Manchester, Manchester, UK, comments on unanswered questions in the field of Alzheimer’s disease including the causes of the disease, as well as strategies to prevent and treat Alzheimer’s disease. Whilst current advice in terms of exercise and a healthy diet can slow the disease process, further research in amyloid plaques and neurofibrillary tangles (NFTs) will enable the development of more efficacious therapies. This interview was conducted during the 2022 World Congress on Controversies in Neurology (CONy) meeting.
